Introduction to Team Sports
This differs from individual sports, where one individual competes against another, such as in track and field, swimming, and wrestling. Individual sports can also be performed in a non-competitive environment. You can participate in activities such as hiking, biking, and running for enjoyment.
In this course you will be taking an indepth look at some team sports, and even practicing some of the basic sports skills. This lesson will give you a general over view of a variety of team sports.

Ice hockey is a game between two teams who wear skates and compete on an ice rink. Each team usually has six players. The object is to propel the puck past a goal line and into a net guarded by a goaltender. Ice hockey is popular for its speed and frequent physical contact.
Rugby is a team sport where each player can really go all out. Rugby is a 15-a-side team sport. The object of the game is to ground the ball behind the opponent's try line, into what is called the in-goal area.
volleyball, game played by two teams, usually of six players on a side, in which the players use their hands to bat a ball back and forth over a high net, trying to make the ball touch the court within the opponents’ playing area before it can be returned. To prevent this a player on the opposing team bats the ball up and toward a teammate before it touches the court surface—that teammate may then volley it back across the net or bat it to a third teammate who volleys it across the net. A team is allowed only three touches of the ball before it must be returned over the net.
